Fun filled day at Munnar with my dear mom’s family

After our visit to Periyar Tiger Reserve and Vineyard, On April 27, morning we got up early and after breakfast, we started our travel to Munnar around 8.30 a.m. On the way we got down at photo point, tea plantation, Udumbanshola. The entry fee for this photo point is 20 INR per person. We have to walk a bit inside tea plantations. As we are running short of time, we just captured photographs and left the place.

We were heading towards top station and we have covered most of the places of the way. We visited Munnar flower show at Hydel park. There was entry fee for this and I don’t remember it. The Munnar flower show is an average one but definitely can visit this once. Here are few photographs for you,

After seeing the Munnar flower show, we went to echo point. Wow, it was such a lovely place and we have to get down a bit from road level to reach the echo point. At echo point, one can hear back the echo if we utter a name or a sentence in loud voice. It was really wonderful. We bought carrots from there and ate it.

After that, we went to Top station, the beauty of Munnar. When we headed towards top station, the climate became chill and we could see mist everywhere. We could view the entire city from the Top Station. We have to walk about a km to reach the Top station. Mule ride at a cost of 100 INR per person(for one way) is available. Heard from the officials there that Trekking has been temporarily stopped after the Kurangani trekking accident and so after taking photographs, had a quick shopping at echo point and returned back home happily. Few pictures taken at Top Station for you,

Munnar, is definitely a paradise to relax with your family. All through the journey, the place is filled with lush green vegetation. Do visit it once in your life time and spend atleast two or three days here.

This is what we could see during our journey,

This is one of the most memorable trips with my mom’s family. We enjoyed a lot by chatting, screaming, playing antakshari etc. Had tons of fun in this trip.Wish to have more trips like this.

It is a nice narration. Also the blog could have covered the most important places to visit, places to stay, access/entry points to Munnar, the food, the nearest airport and railway station etc.
