After our late lunch at Thekkady, we planned to visit the vineyards of Cumbum valley. I had never ever thought of this place as a tourist destination until a cousin of mine explained his splendid experience in the vineyards of Cumbum. Cumbum is one of the places in TamilNadu where grapes are cultivated in vast vineyards.

We crossed 3 check posts on the way from Thekkady to Cumbum. We could see massive waterlines that carry water from the Mullaperiyar Dam for irrigation to the regions of Tamil Nadu on the way to the vineyard.We had lots of fun during travel.

We have reached Jenis Grapes, one of the vineyards of Cumbum late evening. There is no entry fee to visit the vineyard. It is really a splendid experience to see the grapes hanging down. We captured few photographs holding the grapes in our hands.

We could see black grapes and green grapes cultivated separately. We had a small shopping there at the vineyard stores and returned back happily.
