Lower your LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) naturally

If you are looking for a way to lower LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), then you can easily try this remedy. It uses ingredients which is readily available. It can be used as a side dish curry with boiled rice. We call this preparation as ‘rasam’.It is healthy to add rasam in your daily diet. Let us see the recipe in detail,

Ingredients:

  • Bottle Gourd (Sorakkai in tamil) -25 gm
  • Pepper-10 gm

  • Cumin seeds-20 gm

  • Dry red chilly-2 nos.

  • Garlic- 5 cloves

  • Mustard seeds-as needed

  • Gingelly oil-as needed

  • Curry leaves and coriander leaves-as needed

  • Asafoetida (Perunkayam in tamil)powder-as needed
  • Himalayan salt(induppu in tamil)-as needed

  • Water-200 ml

Preparation:

  1. Remove the outerskin of bottle gourd and cut it into small pieces
  2. Grind bottle gourd, pepper, cumin seeds and garlic to get its paste
  3. Boil gingelly oil in a pan
  4. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chilly and sauté it
  5. Add the paste and sauté it well
  6. Add water and boil it well
  7. Add black salt, coriander leaves and curry leaves and boil it for a minute
  8. Don’t strain and transfer it to a bowl

Usage:

  • Mix it with boiled rice and eat it at noon daily for few days
