Reduce body weight and LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) naturally

Reducing body weight is a dream for many including me. Bad cholesterol leads to many diseases including heart attack. Maintain the correct BMI helps us to live healthy. Eating meat, chicken and even constipation may increase your body weight.

Food to eat to reduce body fat:

  • Amaranthus tricolor/Tropical Amarnath(sirukeerai in tamil) leaves
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Pomegranate
  • Horse gram(kollu in tamil) rasam monthly twice
  • Immature drum sticks


  • Horse gram(kollu in tamil)-50 gm
  • Pepper-5 gm


  • Tomato pieces-10 gm

  • Cumin seeds-5 gm

  • Garlic-10 gm


  • Asafoetida (Perunkayam in tamil) powder-3 gm
  • Coriander leaves-as needed

  • Curry leaves-as needed


  • Salt-as needed


  • Water-100 ml



  1. Roast horse gram till golden brown and take it in a bowl
  2. Add tomato pieces to it and garlic cloves and mix it well
  3. Grind to get its paste
  4. Grind pepper and cumin seeds to get its powder
  5. Boil 100 ml of water in a pan
  6. Add the paste little by little and boil it
  7. Add pepper and cumin seeds powder, Asafoetida powder, salt and boil it
  8. Add coriander leaves and curry leaves at last
  9. Turn off the flame and transfer it to a bowl


  • Drink 10 to 30 ml of this monthly thrice ( once in 10 days) at morning immediately after food
